They find out the real world isn't all that it's cracked up to be. It turns out they aren't the great writers they hoped to be, and their love lives are even more of a disaster. Grace plays Mattie's mother, Lynn. Mattie is played by Mallory Low.

The daughter, Ahyu, is a first-generation college student, and is home for the summer. She needs to tell her mother, Wen, that she is pregnant; but the latter is preoccupied with giving, Kai, the patriarch of the family, a good birthday. As the family face consistent racial and gender violence from the outside world, they help each other to heal and break the cycle of violence.

Grace has been cast in the short film "The Mid-Autumn Dinner" directed by Wenjie Kong. Grace play the mother, Chunfeng. Set in a Chinese immigrant family house, a storm between the daughter and the father is quietly forming while a traditional family dinner continues on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Eventually the revelation of a long hidden secret will shock the whole family as the night approaches to its end.

She plays the recurring role, Liu Lei who is an official in the Chinese government. Liu Lei is the mother of twins, Regina and Bridget, all three of whom have telepathic abilities. On October 17th, Grace will be playing the role of Edie in the staged reading of a new play called "Sunshine and Shadows". It is written by Bill Rosenfield and directed by Sheldon Larry. The play takes place in a Florida "Life Care" center where a man attempts to understand his troubled loving relationship with his father and step-mother before they disappear forever. Grace had the pleasure of being a part of the USC Summer Intensive course that teaches filmmakers from Shanghai Tech University how to make a movie from start to finish. The course was instructed by Sheldon Larry. Grace was chosen as one of the actresses to work with one of the directors from Shanghai Tech, Camille Ma. Camille chose to shoot the last scene of the film, Still Alice. Instead of the mother/daughter relationship of Julianne Moore and Kristen Stewart, Camille chose the relationship of the love of two women.

It is a story of a young child who is abducted and lovingly raised, "The Real Mom" reflects true incidences of child abduction, exploring the complex motivations and attitudes of abductors, police, and friends towards these crimes. Grace played the role of Rachel, a woman who finds a lost child and then keeps her. The screenplay is written by Victoria Goring.

Grace has been cast in the comedic short film "Scandal For Two" that will shoot late Oct/early Nov. She plays Jane who is a writer on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Scandal For Two is a comedy about a couple of young actors finding themselves in controversial circumstances and distort between work obligations and their romantic relationship.
Also in October, Grace will be shooting the New York Film Academy thesis film called "Ms. Meng". She will be playing the lead role, Ms. Meng, who born into a middle class family followed her dream of becoming a painter. She manages to be successful after many years of sticking to doing what she loves.

"The Disappointment Tour", was chosen by AFI to be one of the ten scripts produced through the Director's Workshop for Women Writers. Erica Liu is the writer and director. Dr. Gideon is a psychiatrist and head of the institution where a witness has been living for the past 10 years. Dr. Gideon has been trying to help her recover her lost memories and bring her back to reality. Synopsis: A gifted psychology student is recruited by the police to help with an unsolved serial murder case spanning two decades. As the student conducts a series of interviews with the only surviving witness, and psychology begins to cross over into the realm of the supernatural, she discovers that she may also be linked to the crimes.
Also, Grace will be playing a no-nonsense self made spa owner, Ms. Wang, in the comedic web series "Unconventionally L.A." It is written by Melissa Cantatore and directed by James Mason. Synopsis: Adventures of a newcomer to L.A. and her odd circle of friends.

But first she must deal with the ones who have kept the Hawaiian people from restoring her kingdom...the US government.

The film is set in Gotemba, Numazu, Shimoda and Nagano, Japan and southern California. It is about the foreign teachers who work in an immersion school and the Japanese community living near the base of Mt. Fuji. Grace plays the character of Aka-Chan, a single mother who works two jobs as a waitress in order to send her son to a fancy school and live at Chateau Gotemba. She is a long time employee and friend of the Hirota family. She prods her son continuously to do well in school.

Three french artists is participating: photographer Yann Rabanier, videographer/director Romain Dussaulx and architect Thomas Cestia.

Grace was one of the Executive Producers of Rex Pickett's, Sideways, The Play. The world premiere was presented by The Ruskin Group Theatre Co. It ran for 27 amazing, thrilling weeks, from May 18 - November 17, 2012. It received rave reviews and played to full houses.
