About Grace Shen is a Los Angeles-based actress born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia and is an alumna of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her notable theatre credits include The Joy Luck Club, The King and I, Miss Saigon, South Pacific, Hello, Dolly!, Brigadoon, Gigi, Two Rooms, and The Big Funk. Her recent television appearances include The Brothers Sun, All American, Bosch Legacy, Truth Be Told, 911 Lone Star, This Is Us, and Grey's Anatomy. In film, she appeared in All About Nina (2018 Tribeca Film Festival, Netflix) and appeared in the award-winning short Monday (2017 HBO APA Visionaries winner). She played the lead in Breaking the Silence, which has received 55 wins and 25 nominations. Grace’s recent projects include working with director Alejandro G. Iñárritu on Bardo, False Chronicles of a Handful of Truths (Netflix) and with Michelle Yeoh in The Brothers Sun (Netflix). She will appear in the world premiere of Rosemead at the 2025 Tribeca Festival (starring Lucy Liu) and in Surrender at the 2025 LAAPFF (starring Andrea Bang). Upcoming TV projects include Man on Fire (starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), streaming on Netflix soon.
